It’s everybody’s favorite – we’re WALKING with WEIGHTS today in a fantastic low impact routine that’s perfect for women over 50! This one is a workout for your brain as well as your body, with a variety of exercises that move along at a fast pace. Plus, of course, WALKING with light dumbbells!

Cardio toning workouts like this one are fabulous for burning calories, boosting your metabolism and toning your muscles. Low impact cardio means we’re not jumping, but there’s plenty of INTENSITY to get your heart rate up. The light dumbbells work to strengthen and tone your muscles and the non-stop cardio is terrific for heart health and endurance.

This workout is well-suited for reaching your general fitness, weight loss maintenance or body-shaping goals.

Women of a “certain age” will appreciate that there’s no jumping and no transitions to the ground, but of course this Thorough Thursday workout includes both a warm up and a cool down.

SET UP:
Timer is set for one minute intervals. Every Minute On the Minute (EMOM), complete 3 reps of the set of 3 exercises; repeat 3 times before moving on to the next set; between sets, resume walking

Goofy Jacks + Squat Jacks + Booty Kicker Jacks
Forward Hinge Arm Flappers + Toy Soldiers + Low Skiers
Punch Up Kicks + Low Ding Dongs + Tree Jacks
Windmills + Washing Machines + Dancing Xs
Half Jacks + Letter Ks + Close Squat Swings
V Reaches + Reach Low Kick High (left side then right side)
Box Step + Flying Side Bends + Wide Marching

FINISHER (complete one minute on each side):
