We all want our kids to be healthy and develop the proper eating habits that will stay with them for life. If we can get kids to eat healthier, it will help them feel more energized, do better in school and sports, and become healthier adults. This video will give you tips on how to prepare your kids to succeed. If you are worried that your kids don’t like healthy food, their taste buds will change over time and get accustomed to new healthy foods, so you must keep trying to feed it to them. Rather than forcing them to eat healthy foods, help them understand how eating healthier will help them do better in school, sports, and have more energy. You can help your kids eat healthier and avoid unhealthy foods for kids by teaching them to eat ONE ingredient, non-processed foods.
For breakfast, it is a good idea to feed your kids fresh whole fruit. Pick one fruit per day and rotate. Fruit has great fiber, vitamins, and minerals. Feed them fruit along with eggs, oatmeal, or a non-processed bread like Ezekiel bread.
For lunch, pack your children a sandwich on Ezekiel bread. There are many healthy types of sandwiches you can make for them. A few examples include peanut butter, turkey, or avocado. Pair this sandwich with one piece of fruit.
For a snack, pack them a non-processed food such as another fruit, a vegetable mix, or a healthy trail mix.
For dinner, follow our Perfect Plate concept. Perfect Plate = 1/2 veggies + 1/4 protein + 1/4 carbs or healthy fats.
