We all remember the story of the tortoise and the hare, right? Slow and steady wins the race. Well, when looking at how fast you can lose weight in a given amount of time, that’s going to be very important to keep in mind.
Because, sure, you may be able to lose 5 or even 10 lbs in a week, it is certainly possible. You could even try extreme measures like Angus Barbieri did in the ’60s, fasting for 382 days straight, losing 276 pounds (125 kg) in that time. That’s over 20 lbs a month for an entire year.
But, here’s the thing… how many of us with ‘normal’ routines, jobs, families and a whole other host of responsibilities could/would want to do that. It would be a nightmare, right? Starving yourself for an entire year to lose an extra 5-10 pounds each month? Why put your body through such drastic measures when there are other ways that will still get you there.
And that’s what I want to tell you about in the context of how fast can you lose weight. Because I believe in a simple, sustainable approach to weight loss that allows you to lose weight at a steady pace while adopting the lifestyle habits you need to keep it off for life.
So, if you’re reading this, at this point you’re probably wondering, okay so what’s the answer. Well, we didn’t make this video for nothing, so you’re going to have to watch it to get the complete answer. But! I will tell you this…
There are 4 main factors that will really determine how fast you can lose weight. You’ll discover the details in these 4 sections of this video.

So really the answer is…. it depends. On a variety of different factors. Your age, your weight, how much you want to lose, and maybe most importantly, whether or not you’re looking to keep the weight off with a sustainable approach. Because as you’ll discover in this video, there are some extreme fat loss approaches that can help you lose weight fast, but they aren’t the most sustainable or healthy strategies to use over the long term. That being said, we’re going to break it all down in this video so you can decide which approach is right for you.
