Commitment and motivation are the number one things that separate people who succeed with their health and fitness goals from those who fail. Here at the Fit Father Project, we have seen tons of people who have succeeded and other people who have failed. The difference is their commitment and motivation.
How do we find motivation for weight loss, working out, or sticking to a healthy diet? We either push our way through with “willpower”, or we find our “why-power” to push us through. This is one of our favorite motivation techniques for working out.
“Why-power” is the deep emotional reason why losing weight, eating healthy, or working out is essential to you. Common “why-powers” include: being a good role model for your kids, being around to see your grandkids grow up, or being able to have the energy to pursue a lifelong dream. You can learn how to stay motivated to lose weight and workout by finding your personal “why-power”. How good you feel influences everything you do in your life. Health is the foundation of your life.
