Now, when talking about the best cooking oils for fat loss, we’re also talking about the best cooking oils for your overall health. Because whether they’re high heat oils or low heat oils, the ones that will help you lose weight are going to be the healthiest options as well.

When it comes to laying out the best and worst cooking oils for you, there are a couple different factors we need to look at.

#1 What is the smoke point? As you probably know, there are high heat oils and low heat oils. So if you’re cooking at higher heats, you want to make sure you’re using an oil with a high smoke point.

– High heat oils (Good for deep frying & high heat cooking +350° F)
– Medium heat oils (Pan-frying, simmering 300-350° F)
– Low heat oils (Don’t heat)
